                                          2 : quick to respond or react appropriately or sympathetically : sensitive

Being responsive to your customers is a must. When they need you, you must be there to support them.
Think about Federal Express. Their motto is "when it absolutely, positively has to be there overnight"...
That's what put them on the map. That was plain and easy to understand and right to the point. If it has to
be there tomorrow, call us, Federal Express. Now think if there motto had been, "call us, we might be able
to get it there tomorrow." Or "Federal Express, most of the time we will come through for you." Or even,
Sometimes we'll be reliable." You get the point. If a customer knows that he can count on you to be there
when he needs you, he will hire you.

Some of the ways that you can check how responsive you are is how quick do you get back to your
customers whenever they e-mail you or leave a message in your voice mail. Do you reply as soon as you
get the message or do you go about your business and call them later on at your leisure? If you wait, then
you are NOT being responsive.   Learn to reply quickly when someone is trying to get in touch with you.

Another way to determine how responsive you are is by how result oriented you are. If a customer asks
you to do something and you agree to do it, then he is expecting results. If you don't meet his expectations,
then you aren't producing results. You can make all the excuses you want, but producing results makes
you responsive. The more results you produce, the more responsive you are. The less you produce, the
less responsive you are.

Time and results, those are the measures of how responsive you are. If you are quick, then you are
responsive. If you produce results when asked, then you are responsive. If you are neither quick nor
productive, you are not responsive.

Responsive means to answer the call. So the next time that your customer needs your help, answer the
call quickly and produce results.
